OrthAlign’s smart-tech platform leverages micro-electromechanical sensors such as gyroscopes and accelerometers to register patient anatomy intraoperatively, and then live-navigate instrumentation. This methodology allows surgeons access to real-time information about the alignment and balance of implants, in the palm of their hands, and without the need for pre-operative imaging or for large, image-guided systems inside the OR.
Because OrthAlign’s smart technology is in a disposable single-use form-factor and not reliant on any capital equipment, a hospital or surgery center can simultaneously deploy the tech in multiple operating rooms, and at any care site within its network.
